What information do we collect from you?

We collect information that is specifically provided by you as part of an application process. We will collect the following (but not limited to):

• Name, address, email, telephone number
• CV
• Whether you have the right to work in the UK
• Whether you have any unspent convictions
• Equal opportunities monitoring information (special category data). This information is used only for equality monitoring, statistical analysis and reporting purposes and is not used when making recruitment decisions 
• Answers to any application questions
• Any other information you wish to provide in support of your application

Our legitimate interests include managing vacancies, assessing applications, communicating with candidates, maintaining recruitment records, carrying out recruitment reporting and statistical analysis, and improving the effectiveness of our recruitment processes.

• Will be held on our computer systems and may be downloaded by us

• Will be made available to employees involved in the recruitment process, including People & Development, hiring managers and interviewers, together with approved service providers who support our recruitment activities 
• Will be used for communication with you regarding the vacancy

• May be retained and used to contact you about future vacancies where you have requested this or consented to be considered for future opportunities. 

We will retain your application data within our recruitment system in accordance with our Information Retention Guidance. Typically, applicant data is retained for up to 24 months after a vacancy closes before being anonymised. 

The applicant tracking system may assist with the administration, organisation and screening of applications. Screening questions may be used to identify candidates who do not meet essential requirements for a role. Final recruitment decisions are made by appropriately authorised employees. 

If you are successful in obtaining employment with Space Engineering Services Ltd, relevant recruitment information will form part of your employment record and will be processed in accordance with the Employee Privacy Notice. 

We use some automated screening tools as part of this application process. The answers you provide to one or more of the questions (excluding any special categories/equal opportunity questions) may result in your application being automatically declined. How can I access the information you hold about me? Your rights

To do this, you can access your personal profile by using the secure login. Within your candidate account, you can also use the Download Data feature to generate an XML file of the current data we hold on you that you have provided and/or have access to within the account.

Where you exercise your right to object or withdraw your consent we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent where we are permitted or required by law or regulatory requirements to do so. In such a case, we will not process more personal data than is required under the circumstances.
